RUNS FINE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT AN IDOL IT WILL MISS AND SPUTTER AND DIE

    I have the exact same problem. The gargage replaced the spark plugs and wires and two injector packs and two injectors also the O2 senser and replaced the intake minfold gasket.

My 1995 Ram 2500 was doing the same thing. I changed out both oxigen sensors and the map sensor and the problem disappeared and my truck runs great now. Good Luck!

Well, I would try to check the spark to make sure the ignition system is providing spark to the spark plugs. Then, I would check fuel pressure, to make sure that the injectors are getting enough pressure to provide gas to the cylinders, using a fuel pressure gauge on the rail.

I have a 1984 datsun 720 pickup truck. The problem I am having is that is runs like a top then suddenly at any given time it decides to sputter and miss out going down the road. After I give it time off...


I used to own a older datsun pickup that had similar problem. The solution I found that fixed the problem was the points and condenser had grounded out when the engine reached high enough temp. replaced them and set gap a little tight to compensate for the expansion.

Sounds like a load miss. Chk plug wires for deterioration and or cross firing. Wires should not cross over each other. Worn plugs load wires causing increase spark out put increasing cross firing potential

sounds like it may have a bad ignition miss. check spark plugs, wires, and coil packs.

Car sputters


is it 4 cyl 6 cyl if it is the 2.4 quad four i would replace the plug tubes from the coils to the plugs if it is the 6 cyl i would replace the plug wires and inspect the coil towers for corrosion
