Whether you are opening or closing the sliding door on the passenger side it stops half way. Once it opens half way you have to open it manually. That makes my wife upset. I could care less, but I better fix it. Can some one please give me an idea of where to start.

The 2001 model Aztex has 2 cabin filters, they usually come 2 to a box when you buy them. The charcoal carbon filters are the best.

The wire that provides power to your door is split in half. This is caused by normal usage and results in lose of power when the door opens or closes and causes wire to twist which splits the two ends resulting in lose of power in only one location. You can fix it by following the post by "grimmster" and "lane" on the following web forum (scroll to the middle of the forum to see their solution). This should only cost $10 bucks (need electrical tape; soldering iron and wire from Home Depot) rather than hundreds at the dealer:
There is no "switch". The Sliding Doors should be manual anytime you try to open or close them. If not: then there is problem in the electronic system or the physical/mechanical side where something is jamming the door from opening or closing.
DO NOT PUSH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. turn off the power button for the power sliding doors located on the lower dash area.
(in for on out for off)
2. close the sliding doors
3. disconect the battery and wait 1 minute.
4. reconect the battery, turn on the power switch
5. use one of the door control buttons open and close the door this should reset the door.
If this fails to get it working i'm sorry but you will need to take it to a dealer.
and most likly it will need a new drive $3000 aproxmatly. it can not be serviced
there is a cable of wires that lay in the track under the slider they break from normal use.. the harness it fairly easy to change.. when you open the door lok in the opening you will see the harness there in black plastic
could be a partially broken wire in the wiring harness that runs in the door track. the wires are inside what looks like a plastic chain that allows it to move with the door and have seen them partially break not allowing power to flow the whole time
