Question about 1994 Lincoln Continental

1 Answer

On the exterior of my 1994 Lincoln Continental Executive, There is a Black "seal" or "weather stripping" between the door and door handle. This "seal" has weathered and most of it has broken away allowing water and such to get into the door. I would like to replace these seals, But I can not find this part! Can someone tell me what this part is called and where I can get them?

They're external door handle gaskets you can get them at any Ford/Lincoln dealer or any body shop supply or body part suppliers online (A1 body is a good source)

When the key is off, the air suspension shouldn't lose any air, so you could have a valve leak in the system. I'm not familiar with all the components of the system, but did you check the valve that allows the system to bleed off pressure for leaks when the system is turned off?

1994 Lincoln Continental cold start problems. Need a jump every cold AM. When weather above freezing, car started without needing a jump.

start by having your battery checked just because there is some power in the battery doesn't always mean it is good there could be a dead cell in it and when you need a large demand of power it can't supply it

Window on passenger side will not come down need door panel instructions.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

A common problem in the continental (my 95 had the same problem). You can TRY to reset the error. The link below lists step by step instructions for the error reset. Best of luck.
