Pickup runs fine when cold 5 minutes later spits and sputters and dies wait a minute starts up runs good for 30 seconds. then dies again

A common problem with Ford products built in the 1980s is the ignition module mounted on the distributor.
You will need to figure out if it is a fuel problem or ignition problem to proceed.

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus. It runs great when cold, but when it warms up it loses power and sputters. I changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, catalytic converter, timing belt, and sensors. What else...

its possible that the fuel pump may be acting up when it gets hot.check the pressure as well as the fuel volume as the pump could have good pressure but not good volume.the pressure should be about 35lbs and the volume should be about 3/4-1 litre per 30 seconds.you don`t say what sensors you replaced.it could be a bad map sensor voltages going out of range when the temperature changes with in it.

Change the coolant sensor located close to the thermostat housing. This is easy but do not over tighten it. You will have the same problem if you do. Tighten till it does not leak only.Good luck!
