Wing mirrors will not adjust

Wing mirrors have a certain range of electrical adjustment. Manual adjustment by pushing with fingers can make electrical adjustment inoperative. The solution is to make finger adjustment to get back to the electrical range.

Set 1 2 switches? please clarify

See pg. 3-31 in owners manual. Start car in park. Adjust seat, telescoping wheel, and side view mirrors. Pust Mem button and then within 5 sec. push either 1 or 2. That button should light to show memory stored.
From the 2012 Guide (See link)

Follow these procedures to set the memory positions: • Confirm the shift lever is in the P (PARK) position. • Push the ignition switch to the ON position. • Adjust the driver's seat, steering column and outside mirrors to the desired positions using the adjusting switches for each feature. • Push the SET switch and within 5 seconds, push the memory switch (1 or 2) for at least 1 second. • The indicator light on the memory switch you select will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds. • The driver's seat, steering column and outside mirror positions are now set to your preference. These memorized positions can also be linked to your NISSAN Intelligent Key®. How do u adjust the idle on a 2001 ford crown vic? Just put in TPS and its idling at about 3.

the idle is factory set, you need to make sure you installed the tps correctly, it fits onto the throttle body with a notch in the switch if its on the notch properly you should be able to turn the switch and feel the switch turn internally before installing the attaching screws, if it has sloted mounts you need to adjust it, if its out of adjustment the idle will drasticly be affected

Cylinders miss more when damp or wet outside?

Wait till its dark outside. With no lighting, start your car and look at the engine. Let you eyes adjust and you should see some small sparks flashing. Usually they are from old worn spark plug wires.

Just a simple question.which screws lower the beam on the headlights on a 1999 crown vic?

Don't remember if you need to remove outside cover to get to it (some trim frames have an access notch) but there is one adjustment in the center top of the light frame (up/down and one on the outer edge of frame L/R) you need to adjust both because as lamp changes position it pivots slightly on the other adjustment.

first of all if you have the new mirror off of a crown vic or grand marquise there is nothing to worry about wiring because you have to take the door panel off and once off all you have to do is plug in the new mirror the same way you took the old one off

Side Mirrors will adjust side to side but not up and down.

There are two tiny motors in each mirror. one for up/down. One for side to side. They have jack screws (plastic) that fit into the motors.

You can manually put your hands on either side of the mirror and force adjust it. If you hear a ratcheting sound, the jack screws are OK. Then repeat with hands on top and bottom.

If you hear ratcheting and mirror stays where you stop it, that means one of the motors is bad. The motor assembly is available as a separate part.
