Question about 2000 Ford Focus
Is this the dual overhead cam Zetec engine or the SPI engine? Get a spark tester, a compression tester, and a can of starter fluid. You can rent the compression tester from some part stores. Spray some starter fluid into the intake and try to start the engine. If it runs or tries to start, then you are probably looking at a fuel issue. If it doesn't try to start, remove a spark plug wire and install the spark tester. If it has spark, then remove the spark plugs and use the compression tester in all four cylinders. If you can't get more than 150 psi on each cylinder, then you are looking at a timing belt issue. Post the results of your test here for more help.
