The way to prime the fuel pump is to turn the key on.This will make the pump run for 2 seconds then turn off.Shut the key of for 10 seconds then turn it on again. You may have to do this a couple of times to get the fuel to the throttle body. Also when you turn the key to the start position the pump will run til you let go of the key.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have a 1988 club car gas golf cart. I have done everything that I can think off. cleaned carburater, drained all fuel tank, replaced battery, replaced some of the gas lines. golf cart will only run...

When you say cleaned carburater did you take it all apart and spray carb cleaner through all the ports, it only takes the smallest debris for it to not run properly

I have a 1989 RAM w100 with a stock 318. I'm

If you can spray carb cleaner in the carb then you have either a fuel supply problem or fuel delivery problem. Check your fuel pressure and make sure it is in spec. Then check the spray in the carb spray.

Starts but after of running a while will not restart the more i prime the pump it starts and runs nothing else wrong with it

There is no priming of anything

If your talking cycling the key to start the
fuel pump, then maybe the fuel pump
is worn & not building pressure, to always
start the car quickly

The TPS Sensor moves a you push the gas
pedal. It may be worn

There is no corrolation to your foot & fuel issues

Those where the carburator days over 25 years ago

My 1988 chevy v-6 pick-up has been parked for 6 months and now will only run when gas is poured directly in carburator, but stalls once that gas is used up. how do i test fuel pump?

I would have someone get on the ground back behind the truck underneath the gas tank and when you turn on the key, you should hear a hum as the fuel pump primes. You could also hook up a fuel pressure gauge on to the schrader valve and see if has the correct pressure or if you get any at all and whether it holds it. If you don't get the correct pressure or it doesn't run at all, then I would say it is the pump. Depending on what fuel system you have you will have different pressures.

Couple of days ago car started choking like I was running out of gas my gas guage could be broken but can someone tell me where the carburator ? is so that I can put gas in it.

Your 95 Blazer does not have a carburetor (correct spelling too) It is fuel injected so injectors are used for each cylinder instead of a carburetor. If you run out of fuel and your vehicle is facing uphill when that happens you should have some fuel in the tank left. When leveling at a level position the vehicle will start again. You see the fuel pump is in the fuel tank and fuel is needed at all times to prime when starting. If on a grade the fuel goes to one end if only a gallon or two is left and the pump will **** air only causing a stalling problem I added all this in just so you remember this incase it ever happens to you

Truck won't stay running

if it is a electric fuel pump take the fuel line off carburator and get a three foot gas line hook it up to the gas line on the car run gas line into an empty gallon container and turn key on and see if you are getting a good flow of gas
