Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Galant
Well, I would take it to a shop, I attempted to replace mine but after removing most of the passenger side interior and realized I still was going to have a hard time getting to it. I put it back together and let the dealer fix it. I was approx $270.
For future reference I was told by the mechanic who fixed it to never turn the temp. knob all the way in either direction. He said the way the control is designed that if it is in either extreme position that it puts pressure on the gear teeth of the valve. One by one they break off and that clicking noise I heard for several months was the catch moving over the missing teeth. When the last one broke off it quit.
