Disconnect the battery on BOTH the Positive and the Negative then touch the two wires together for at least 5 seconds. That will reset all modules to default and make you reset the clock, too. .....accordianman

AC works fine at first then stops blowing thru dash vents and will only blow thru defrost and floor vents. this is an 02 chevy trailblazer. It this an expensive thing to fix?

It's most likely a vacuum line, look under your hood (close to the cowl panel) for a disconnected, cracked or broken vacuum line.

In some rear cases, it could be the vacuum switch (in dash). Or vacuum diaphragm (under dash).

Hope this helps you ???

My ac on my 2002 jeep grand cherokee blows thru the defrost only

anitajo60, What you need to do is look in the engine compartment for a vacuum line that enters the vehicle through the firewall. This line is what allows you to change the settings from the defrost to the floor or vent. Usually what happens is the line will break from becoming too brittle from the heat of the engine. A small rubber hose that fits tightly on the vacuum hose will do just fine for a repair. Good luck with this.

Where is the transmission fluid located on my lincoln ls 2002

The filling can be done from a 3/8 pipe plug, on the tail housing
or the factory method of blowing it into the 1/8 pipe plug in the
center of the drain plug on trans pan, with a special container

I just remove the drain plug or pan depending on what I'm doing
at the time and blow it in thru the trans tail extension.

You use Mercon V

It only takes 3.5 to 4 qts

(There is more to it if you want the long version)

You will never get the car off the ground and supported to do all this
as you most likely don't have all the equipment, floor jack, support stands etc
and it is one dangerous vehicle to get set up right. I'am your guy if you need help

A/C not blowing thru vents just defroster and floor

It is a vent door actuator motor on top of the blower box,the dash has to be removed and set in the seats to replace the actuator motor.Cost for the part is about 50.00 dollars

A/C Problem

There is a vacuum line from the engine into the dash that supplies vacuum through the selector switch when commanded. When vacuum is missing, the dash defaults to the defrost and the floor. Check to see that the vacuum line is still connected. It usually runs off the back of the engine and in the dash on the passenger side. Good Luck.
