Question about 1989 GMC S-15 Jimmy

1989 Jimmy S15, 3/4 350. I want to change the timing? I have added an HHO generator and need to forward the timing to get fuel saving benefits.

Loosen the bolt at the base of the distributer on the passenger's side. If you don't have a timing light, mark the dist and intake manifold so you can put it back exactly where it was in the event of a problem. Turn the dist counter-clockwise just a tiny bit and the idle should raise a little.

HHO SEYSYEM


HHO does not work. The amount of air the engine sucks in throughout the RPM range is far beyond what any HHO setup can produce. You will lose power and gas mileage because the HHO system pulls energy away from the ignition spark.

could be the fuel pump ...you will need to do a fuel pressure test on it ..the pressure should be 63 anything lower even so much as a few lbs will cause this to happen ...as well if it sat that long i would consider a complete tune up and check all vacuum lines for dry-rot

Is there any economical feasibility for brown gas generators ?


Yes, they do produce hydrogen and are easy enough to make.
Newer EFI vehicles with oxygen sensors located at intake as well as exhaust, have to be manipulated to get the full effect of your HHO production... that was a little trickier. I made a pot switchbox to trick the sensor signal to my engine's computer.
An older vehicle with a carburator is another matter... direct HHO into the intake.
Does it increase fuel efficiency? Yes. Any combustable added is gained effeciency.
How much efficiency, is to be determined by your car's performance and your driving habits.
Youtube has some good videos and how-to info if you're interested.
Is it worth "buying" this info? I wouldn't...

Hi Brknme,

Need a bit more info about your problem. Just so I know we are talking about the same thing on the same page.

Are you referring to the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI)?

If so, does the vehicle run? What symptoms are there?

And what HHO issues do you have? These initials usually refer to a Hydrogen/Oxygen generator and the ratio of the volume of gas produced from water ( 2:1 2 parts Hydrogen one part Oxygen). Also the optimum ratio for combustion.

Got some problems with my hho


The HHO generator uses low DC voltage to produce Hydrogen and Oxygen from water.

Fresh water isn't the best conductor of electricity so an electrolyte of some sort is usually added to the water.

A safety tip: This was probably included with your unit, but it doesn't hurt to cover it again.
  • Wear safety glasses, good ones.
  • Dont smoke or have any ignition source while checking the unit. HHO is produced at the optimum ratio for combustion, and by that I mean COMBUSTION. This is the same fuel in the same ratio in that big orange tank the space shuttle rides on. The slightest leak can be dangerous. Be aware of this. Ok?
A side effect of these units is they produce heat. The water gets pretty hot, not boiling, but hot. That would be a way to see if its working.

You haven't described the unit, volume of water and electrolyte used. That would be helpful.

As a rule, if the plates are covered in water, if the electrolyte has been introduced, if it has power then it's working and you won't notice any difference at all.

Unless the unit you got is the super deluxe multi-cell model, the volume of HHO produced per minute is only a small percentage of what the engine is sucking in. It's not going to supercharge your engine. It will however enhance the combustion of the gasoline, making it burn more efficiently while adding some combustion of its own.

Hopefully you kept track of your mileage before instrallation. Keep keeping track of your mileage and compare notes. That's when you'll notice the difference.

That difference will depend on the volume of HHO produced. That depends on the electrolytic agent, volume and temperature of the water.

Please do some research before bothering with this bogus junk.  I am familiar with its generation and you cannot fit a generator under any hood that will produce enough gas to change your engine characteristics.
Take some time and look at the EPA's results with any of the claimed results for various gadgets:

Also, if you had a product to sell, wouldn't you be tempted to plant favorable 'test reports' all over the Internet?

HHO generator wiring


the hho generator power and ground does not go to the maf sensor. what you need is a maf /map regulator, but it has no connection with the generator. it is just helpfull by saving gas if a hho generator is installed. If you have o2 sensors in the exhaust pipe, you need a EFIE first!!! more questions, no problem, hydrotuning@gmail.com, greetings, ****

dont waste you time try to get your money back . ive worked with many of these and not a single one has made any difference. the volume of hydrogen that the generator produces isnt enough to help in fuel millage the alternator on your car cant put out the amperage required to make the quanty needed. alot of scams going on on this stuff right now. just watch your dollar. but since you have it you might as well try it and find out for yourself. i ssen them in the pcv line T in. and ive also see them just tapped into the air cleaner just above the throttle body. good luck and let me know if it works any better for you...

2002 ford mustang gt map sensor enhancer connection? (for HHO)


MAP enhancers usually wont do the trick for long - the computer will learn the adjustment to the MAF and overide within a day or so usually less than a few minutes.

The computer is best altered using an EFIE to adjust the O2 sensor(s), usually adding between .2 and .3 volts to the O2 sensor signals does the trick - each combo of the HHO and car is slightly different - you have to play with it to find your best setting. You only need to alter the signal on the O2 sensors ahead of the cats as they are the ones the computer uses to adjust the fuel.
