If u look in your manual under fuses or cig lighter it shows u where it is located. when u open your hood there is a box labeled fuse box and if u take the cover off u find various type of fuses. there is a chart to show u which one is for the cig lighter. when u find it take it out and check if the fuse is burnt. if it is you r lucky. all u hav to do is by some fuses at sears for $3 and put one in. make sure its the correct size. if your fuse is not burnt u may hav a bigger problem tht i dont know how to fix. this sounds complicated but it truly is simple. im 16 and i had no trouble.

I have a ZIPPO and it wont light. How can I fix it?

Does the flint-wheel go around? Is the spark healthy? is the lighter filled with avgas? That should be all you need to know.

If there's a problem, Zippo lighters have a life-time warranty.

1992 buick century lighter wont work

If the lighter outlet works with a cig lighter, the plug for your GPS may not be making contact with the center point in the outlet.
may have dirt and debris in the bottom of the outlet
You may also have a blown fuse.

Lighter wont work

Check fuse / replace if neccassary / if the fuse is good / lighter element may be bad / or the lighter its self / could be a disconnected wire on back of lighter element in car.

Lighter plug wont work no blown fuse

sometimes there is a seperate fuse for just the lighter in the wiring behind the lighter socket you will have to either remove the socket or find the wiring under the dash to see if their is a fuse and replace it if it is worn or even possibly the connections to the socket have worn or become disconnected

Cig lighter wont work

try getting a new lighter. if it is a fuse, it would be labeled on the cover to the fusebox. it is also common for the wiring itself which leads to the cigarette lighter to burn out.

Anyone having this problem should be aware that there is a second cigarette lighter inside the bottom of the console. You should check to see if that unit is working or not as well. If both units are out, you could have a bigger problem. You wouldn't want to replace the lighter unit and have it still not work.
