Hello deealy.
If the back section is working and not the bottom it will be a seat heater element or control problem as it comes from the same power supply.
The heat elements on these vehicles were very susceptible to failure.
The circuits will need to be checked with a multimeter to verify.

If other functions such as window controls and power seat controls are normal, here are some possibilities;
1) Circuit Breaker #8 in rear fuse panel
2) Defective Driver Memory Seat Module (under driver's seat)
3) Break in data lines between Driver's Memory Seat Module and Drivers Door Module
4) Fuse 23 & 6 in rear fuse panel

Left rear seat , 65 of the 65/35 rear seat will not lift to expose the fuse box 2004 Envoy L6

You did pull the little tab first, hidden in the seat right? If you're not sure, reach your hand in the seat seam and feel for a nylon pull tab and pull it to move the bottom half towards the front seat.

Both heated seats in my 2004 envoy went out at the same time. Could it be a fuse? How can we fix this problem ourselves?

should be a fuse in the fuse box. check all fuses and wiring. with the bumpy roads even one wire from eaither seat was to come off both would stop operating.

Just trying to figure out which fuse is for the dome lights in my 2004 GMC Envoy. I was replacing dome lights in the interior and they just went out.

There is a fuse box under the back seat on the left hand side. The fuses you need to ck are fuse#4 tbc3 fuse and fuse# 40 tbc 4 fuse. The dome lights operate through the bcm.

Rear fuse box is under the seat bottom, rear seat (middle row) on the driver's side. There is a plastic cover over the top of it that snaps into place.

Heated seats not working.

Work for a GM dealership. the problem is the heated seat pad element is bad. Replacing the element is not easy but can be done at home.
