Sometimes after you get a oil change your light have to be reset check the manual, or you can take it to autozone, and they will check it for free.

Hi . My Acura MDX 2009 suddenly stopped while driving. This has happened twice now. Pls help. It's very dangerous good thing didn't happen in the highway.

could be a number of things that can cause your problem some of the top ones that usually dont show a check engine light are fuel pump failing --fuel filter--needs a tune up --egr valve carbon build up -cat converter clogging -ignition switch worn failing-battery/alternator failing --fuel pump relay failing/overheating if you do have a check engine light most auto stores offer scanning the vehicle for free

I bought a 2011 MDX 3 weeks ago. The brake sensor goes off about 1 or 2 x per day. Brought it back to deal - said downloaded new software? OK I may be a girl, but not a stupid one! Of course this did...

All sensors are suspect, but give them a chance to resolve it, the techs are sometimes obligated to do step by step procedures, one at a time. FURTHER, if the issue is intermittent, CERTAINLY it would not malfunction at the dealer.
What does help is if you can demonstrate how to make it happen....bumps, turns, acceleration, stopping,. ANY clue helps...
They will get it, be patient....It is a technical machine, these days.

I had my oil changed in my 2007 Acura MDX this morning and the Honda Dealership had no idea how to reset the indicator. How do I do this?

Courtesy of oilreset.com:
Turn the ignition to (II) - do not start the engine. Press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until engine oil life is displayed. Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display. Select RESET by pressing the INFO (??²/??¼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset. *Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an ignition switch. Pushing start/stop button once without starting engine is equivalent of ignition (II).
Best of luck! Greg

My 2003 Acura MDX has 213,000 miles on it. Engine light came on Monday but went out. I have no maintenance schedule for the vehicle but have kept oil changes, etc., up to date. Did the big maintenance...

At that mileage it could be a lot of things. Being that it didn't stay on the problem is minor and not happening constantly. I would suggest spark plugs, fuel filter, and oxygen sensors. These components can be the cause of several check engine lights. Good luck.

Check your oil pressure switch located next to the oil filter. Sounds like that will need to be replaced.

MY CAR ACURA 2003STEREO ASKING FOR CODE

With out being too familiar with the unique features of the MDX, Is there a satilite radio equioed with the car, if so make sure thats not selected as your " input mode", in other words make sure its set to FM not SATALITE _______ . You could try disconnecting the head unit from the car for a few minutes, generaly you need to do this for AT LEAST 2 min, but maybe longer since most radio heads have a backup batery of some sort. I assume you read your owners manuel and there is nothing in there regarding this, other option, call an acura dealership and speak with a person in Service, there usually willing to talk on the phone for a few and let you know what the quick/or not so quick fix is. good luck.
