If you are looking to put your own code in then please do the following:
1. Select 5 digits that you wnt to put in 2. Enter the code that the dealership gave you (also on the decal on the right trunk hinge). 3. Within 5 seconds, press 1/2 4. Within 5 seconds of pressing 1/2, enter your personal code, pressing each digit within 5 seconds of the previous digit.
To erase your personal code, enter the original code, press 1/2 within 5 seconds, then wait 6 seconds. It will then resort back to the original code which cannot be erased.

To reset the light, turn the key to position two and have the drivers door open for about 40 seconds, the light should automatically go off.. good luck.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado Automatic door locks

I assume you mean that the central locking system will not lock the doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

Automatic door locks will not lock rear doors, they open fine when manually locked but will not lock with switch key fob or when put in gear.

1997 lincoln town car sounds continuously, have pulled horn relay and security system will go off in the middle of the night - can reset with key fob. Is the problem a horn switch or clock spring?

this is most likely due to a defective door open/ajar sensor, it is not related to the horn pad/airbag, this happens during hot days from horn pad warping due to heat, have the driver door ajar switch replaced.

Combination on car keypad does not open doors

Does the key pad on the door light up? Are there any tears in the key pad numbers? Does the key pad lock the doors?.
There are no fuses directly for the pad.. The key pad is linked directly to the RAP. module. If the locks work from the FOB the fuses for the Module are good. Chances are the pad is no good especially if it don't light up. The RAP module is above the driver side foot well, directly above the accelerator pedal . Hope this helps.
