1989 Acura Legend V6L

I have an 1989 Acura Legend V6L. The battery drains to dead after the car sits for a day or two. The battery is new and alternator 2 yrs. old. I removed the positive battery cable and checked for an amp draw with a multi-meter between cable and terminal. Reads -1. Any ideas or suggestions. Any test or tests that you can recommend I perform.

I understand that. Forgive me for saying so but that is stating the obvious. So are there any tests that might be suggested for me to try for locating the problem and resolving the issue?

It turns out that a relay located near the windshield washer fluid reservoir was draining my battery. There are two relays located there, the one creating the problem was located closer to the front of the car. I removed the relay and everything still seems to work properly with the car. However I would like to know if replacing the relay will fix the problem properly or if it is possible that there is a wiring short somewhere in this circuit which needs to be traced. This relay made an intermittent clicking noise when the car was shut off.

    What does this relay do?

1989 acura legend will not crank over after replacing alternator and battery

May not have been the alternator , check the main relay module , may need to re solder the connections. Its under the dash on the left side
of the steering column , its a little hard to see and get out but the connections often burn through the solder and present problems such as this that mimic a fuel supply problem .

Battery Draining from Intermittent Problem on Acura Legend GS

It sounds like a battery issue. I would take it to an Autozone if you have one. they have a few high tech gadgets for batteries. But if its drained after only a week of no use. I would say it is the Battery. Unless you were having this issue before you took it in.
