The master cylinder probably needs new seals and the brakes need bleeding. First try replacing the brake fluid and doing a good bleed. If that does not solve the problem, go for the master cylinder.

You must have the system scanned with a special scan tool to see what ABS fault codes are present and then based on those codes diagnose the problem.

1999 Ford E350 van problem: brake pedal is soft; have replaced master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes and drums, front calipers, rotors and discs; have bled master cylinder before...

Good question, on the antilock system is a bleader too and bleade it the same way you bleade the caliper. After all is done adjust the rear brakes, they should have a drag to them.

I am using a company van, a 2006 e-350 super duty ford van and the brakes are very stiff. Do they have a fuse for the braking system and, if so, which location would it be in?

The brake booster is a vacuum operated mechanism that is obviously failing on your van. It's the big round device that your master cylinder and bolted to (mastyer cylinder is directly under the brake fluid reseviour). Check the vacuum lines for leaks. If not, most times the master cylinder has been bad and leaking fluid into the booster which will damage it.

I put new brakes on the front and can get no fluid to come out the right side when bleeding brakes

YOUR VAN HAS THE KELSEY HAYES EBC5H UNIT.THIS IS ALSO USED ON CHRYSLER TRUCK + VANS .ALSO FORD USES THIS ABS BRAKE SYSTEM.IN ORDER TO BLEED THIS BRAKE SYSTEM YOU NEED A DRB 111 SCAN TOOL OR EQUIVALENT.THE SCAN TOOL HAS TO CYCLE THE HCU PUMP AND SOLENOIDS IN ORDER TO BLEED BRAKES.

Have a 1999 dodge durango 5.2 liter v8 sat for 8 months just did a tune up and got it started but the brakes feel mushy or soft checked the master brake cylinder an its full do I just need to drive it for...

You could try bleeding them yes.. There should be a bleeder located on each caliper. Should have a little nut sticking up off the caliper. Remove that bleeder will be under it. If that does not work it may be the master cylinder itself. Just had same problem on ford van that turned out to be master cylinder. Hope that helps..

Brake and turn signal lights stopped working on my 1996 Ford E150

You might have cut a wire or it could have broken or disconnected. Try tracing the wiring where you hooked up the trailer you may find one broken or disconnected.

i will assume the one that is smoking is the front brakes. sounds like while the van was sitting the brake caliper has locked up and will need to be replaced

Brakes

sounds like your abs feature is in-operative(that's the one that won't allow the wheels to lock-up when the brake is applied in an emergency)the abs system should pulse your brakes during an emergency application of pressure on the pedal,i'd get to a dealer immediately (and i mean don't go anywhere else until this problem is corrected)
