Question about 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
I drive frequently relative to my work. I've logged 52,000 miles. I recently brought my vehicle into the dealership for regularly scheduled maintenance. After picking it up, I immediately noticed the vehicle literally drifted as if I was driving on a windy day - though there was no wind. I have to compensate for this effect to control the vehicle. It is very tiring on long trips, not to mention harrowing on a rainy and windy day when I cannot safely reach highway speeds without risking loss of control. I'm accustomed to really moving in this vehicle, so this is highly uncharacteristic for it. I did take the vehicle back to the dealership, and they tightened things up, i.e., struts, front suspension, but didn't drive the vehicle long enough or fast enough to get the full effect of what I was describing. I never had this problem in all the miles I've driven this vehicle - it just started after the last maintenance. So, I'm nowhere with the dealership. The problem persists and I have to drive close to 1000 miles this week - which won't be easy. I no longer enjoy driving because it really feels like the vehicle has a life of its own. Any help you can offer would be most appreciated.
It sounds like you need a 4 wheel alignment they must have messed up the alignment and tightening things will not fix that you can take it anywhere that can do a 4 wheel alignment though I would make sure the dealership pays for it.
