Repairs on my dawoo 98 central locking system

Lock ALL DOORS, Disconnect the Battery... Wait 2-3 minutes and connect the battery and it should reset itself. Make sure all doors are LOCKED...

AND that you have a KEY to open the door in case it does not work.

The central locking air-pumps often fail on these models, or leaks develop in the air lines of the system. They aren't typically easy to repair when leaks develop as they must first be traced, but if you are lucky, then it may just be a pump issue.

you need replace the door lock module or relearn the security system.

At the fuse/relay panel, check 15A fuse 21 which protects the central locking system pump and control module. Also check 10A fuse 22 which protects the door lock switch

check the battery in the remote if possible, i think its just a coincidence unless some wires under the dash were pulled whilst playing with the cable

Central locking and the antenna are on the same fuse. Go to benzworld.org and try and do a search for properly disabling or repairing your alarm.

The door to access the fuel filler compartment locks as part of the central locking system. If it is working properly, the fuel door is locked whenever the car doors are locked. However, if it doesn't lock when you lock the car, and you don't want to repair the central locking system (or part thereof), you will have to buy an aftermarket locking gas cap, since Jaguar doesn't offer one. You can find aftermarket gas caps at many online stores and catalog stores such as J.C. Whitney. Good luck.

you have to change battery

There will be water in the door microswitches, for the central locking.

This caused the alarms to activate when locked.

remove door panels on both front doors, you will see a little electrical switch near the door lock. remove and check for water ingress.

Your key should work manually (without battery) on at least one door or the trunk/hatch. Otherwise the world would be filled with abandoned hyundais with flat batteries and no way to get in! Try the passenger side door; don't expect to hear the central locking relay, but if you turn the key far enough, that door should open.
