Check alt. voltage for consistant volts between 13-16v for most cars. not sure what your is suppose to be. check all power and ground connections something is draining your battery. if its not going dead while sitting check all hot connections only on during engine operation. (stereo acc. wire) ect. new stereo or factory?

The battery is low after one week. Isnt it supposed to last up to 6 months?

It sounds like you have something that is drawing some power off of it while it is turned off. You will need to track down this parasitic drain or disconnect the battery each time you park it.

Why is fully-charged battery too low to start within 6 hours?

It is not impossible for new batteries to be at fault , check with high discharge tester, if OK there is a short circuit or something using up power such as stop lights on. to check remove the + terminal on the battery insert a amp meter current draw should be almost zero , small current draw will be from clock ECT.

I replaced alternator over summer and since last two months replaced starter and heater motor and tested battery and still something is pulling energy from battery. any suggestions

Have your alternator checked again to see if it it putting out the current current. If you live in the US you can usually get this done for free at a auto parts store such as AUTOZONE.

Oil around my spark plugs on 1997 deville

need to replace plug access o rings. you have to remove the valve covers to get to them. you can get gasket kits that contain the parts you need.they are at the top of the motor so you don,t have to remove much stuff to get at them. mark your plug wires with masking tape or something so you can put them back in the same hole they came from.all the fasteners are pretty easy to see so you can tell what needs to be taken out. keep track of what bolts came from what holes in case they are not all the same. do only one side at a time so you pull the same fastener out of the same place on the other side to see what it takes if you get them mixed up. clean all the gasket grooves and mating surfaces before you go back in with them. any dirt left will cause it to leak so this is important! also don,t use any sealers on the new gaskets unless it specifies it in the gasket kit. if you are not going to replace them, before you put the plug wires back in, clean them well to remove the oil and dirt on them. also lube the plug wire ends with diielectrict silicone grease. dont use any other type cause it will break down and conduct electricity after a few months of motor heat and cause a direct short in the plug and a dead miss. about once a week i have to replace a set of plugs and wires that should have lasted 100,000 miles but only lasted a few months cause some fool put the wrong grease on them. be careful not to drop anything down into the motor and clean stuff up before putting it back, especially the gasket surfaces, and dont knock them out of the grooves when you go back with the gaskets.cause they are on the valve cover side and will be upside down when you put the valve covers back on.

Okay where to start, my 2000 Ford Focus has been a nightmare this last month of owning it. I will bypass all of the other problems that its had so I can figure out my most immediate need. Whats been...

Hi, I would take it to a mechanic and get the stored computer codes, which should narrow the problem down to 1 thing. Have you replaced the fuel pump and filter?Do something for me, try to start the car in the morning but when you crank it over push the gas pedal to the floor. If it doesn't start it could be a fuel pump problem. Good luck.

2000 s10 starter last only 2 months,

I would check current draw with a good ammeter & se how much current the starter draws when cranking. I owuld guess about 400 amps, but check with Delco. Other possibility is starter is binding on flywheel.
Did you disassemble one of the faulty staters to see if armature is rubbing on magents or coils?
Are these starters remans or new? Remans sometimes have problems.
