Question about 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi i have a 2001 santa fe and the heater recently started blowing cold air. i got the timing belt done about 3mts ago and the head gasket and new heater plugs but it is still slow to start in the morning any advice welcome

CHECK COOLANT LEVEL SOUND LOW.IF COOLANT LEVEL OKAY.YOUR THERMOSTAT COULD BE FAULTY BY STICKING OPEN.

flush radiator, check coolant level, check heater core, check timing, and if all tests fine get a compression test to rule out head problems.

Hi Mark, I've just had the same problem with my 2007 Sante Fe. After replacing water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc, turns out it was the cylinder head gasket. No water in oil, but engine pressurises the water system, blowing water out the overflow. Cheers

you have moisture in the system this causes your expancion valve to freeze up an stop working, thats why it works for sort time and when it de-freezes stars working again. you need to do a EVAC & RECHARGE with a good AC service equipment, specially attention to pull vacumm por at least 20minutes so you get all moisture out of the system.

if all the fans are working then it maybe a crack head did you get them check when you put new gaskets on. could be a hairline crack. that cant be seen unless it magnafluxed.

Heat will not blow


check all your fuses first , then check the blowermotor for power and ground,if it has power but no ground then replace the blowermotor resistor. hope this helps.
