Hi, you would think it would be that simple. I have had some that we had to remove the whole front axel assembly out which is how Isuzu says to do it. If you can get behind the inboard axle bub and pry out most of the times they will pop out they are held in with C-clips. Good Luck watch your fingers these Isuzu's tend to bite.
Your wires might be crossing or touching metal.thats what mine did.check where your back license plate light is at.thats where the problem could lie.replace some of the wires if you haven't already.
