How to set the timing on a 1993 isuzu pickup - 1993 Isuzu Pickup

Its either under the dash in the driver's side , or under the hood on the left fender near the firewall. Those are the most common places for it.

check cables from battery to starter. if battery is good you should at least have power to headlights, other electrical.

Hi, you would think it would be that simple. I have had some that we had to remove the whole front axel assembly out which is how Isuzu says to do it. If you can get behind the inboard axle bub and pry out most of the times they will pop out they are held in with C-clips. Good Luck watch your fingers these Isuzu's tend to bite.

most manufacters suggest that the timing belts should be changed no later than 75,000 miles.

4 cylinder correct?

Try replacing the EGR valve!
Also make so you accelerator cable isn't kinked, if it is replace it!

2.3 liter SOHC L4

2.6 liter SOHC L4 .......same as above


1993 Isuzu Pickup 2WD
3.1 liter V-6


4wd is the same specs as the 2wd.

open the hood and see if there is a diagram for vacuum lines on the front rail above the radiator. or under the hood itself.

Your wires might be crossing or touching metal.thats what mine did.check where your back license plate light is at.thats where the problem could lie.replace some of the wires if you haven't already.
