1995 lincoln continental speed sensor location

It is located on the outside of the transmission case, you need to raise the car up and support it on jack stands and then go under and replace it or check the connector for fluid that may have leaked into it. See photo of sensor below.

How to remove transmission in 1995 Lincoln continental

It is not a do it yourself job. You will need a lift to raise the car to work on the transmission and a raised transmission support assembly to support and drop the transmission onto to move it and lower it once unbolted from vehicle.
I doubt you have any of this essential equipment available to remove and refit a transmission.

1995 lincolin continental transmission wont shift out of first gear

VSS. Vehicle speed sensor. Although Im sure its already been done but check the transmission fluid. Change it out with new fluid and a filter if you want to and when you do, look at the old fluid and see if its blackish or not pink/red. Look for metal shavings in the fluids catch pan and in the transmissions pan and in/around the filter. The small stuff 1st. Then you can rule out that and move to the bigger stuff.

1997 Lincoln Continental - Speedometer Not Working

Does the odometer work? If so,you'll have to pull the gauge cluster out to send for repair. If the odometer doesn't work either, you may have a bad or disconnected VSS(vehicle speed sensor-located on the tailshaft housing of the transmission)

Location of speed sensor?

I know that on the 94s it's located between the transmission and the firewall and a REAL pain to get to and change.

Can i put coil springs from a 1995 taurus onto a 1995 continental

No. they are different platforms and could result in a serious accident. they make conversion kits to eliminate the air ride suspension and are designed specifically for this particular car.
