That could be what it means but before I condemn the pump I would make sure that you are recieving a 12 volt signal at the pump. If the voltage is there then replace the pump.

I put a new fuel pump in a 1999 dodge durago but don't hear it click on and won't start, why?

Have you replaced the fuel filter? It may be plugged. A plugged fuel filter will burn out a fuel pump

2002 Durango won't start change fuel pump, cramnkshaft sensor,

"No Bus" means something happened between the body computer and the engine computer. They are not connected to each other.
Usually a fuse, one of the computers, or the wiring harness in between.

2005 dodge durango fuel pump problems

The shop surely should have kept it longer & they need
to road test it for some time & have a scan tool in record
mode if it does quit

They have to find out whay is dropping out

Hard to believe they have not seen those problems on
at least a couple of vehicles, even if they were different

I hate to see you go to a dealer, only to have the same results
only to spend more for the same billable hours

I could not guess, you need to have a scan tool and sometimes a
meter as well as an oscilloscope on the engine all at once

Only the very best of the best techs can find those issues

Now you & I don't know where they work

I installed a new distributor and entire ignition for a 2000 Dodge Durango. It will not start.

it needs more than spark to run! You need compression and fuel too.Try spraying some throttle body cleaner down the intake while someone cronks it.If it runs on the spray, check the fuel sytem(maybe a bad fuel pump, pump relay, blown injector fuse, etc)

2004 dodge durango stalls in idle and will not start unless key is on for a few seconds and then try to start

check the fuel pressure from the pump , having to turn on the key for a few prior to starting means the pump isn't holding pressure in the line so it has to refill,,

Fuel gauge on 1999 Dodge Durango reads empty and fuel light comes on, happend after just filling tank. Checked the on board computer and DTE (distance to empty) reads 5C. Vehicle runs fine.

The float mechanism (or fuel level sender) on your fuel pump may be stuck or damaged. Attached is a digram of a typical fuel pump that is located inside the gas tank of your Dodge Durango.metrocard.jpg
You will need to remove your gas tank and pull out the old fuel pump to see if this is the problem. If you do this I would replace the fuel pump with a new one.

all you need is # 1 Fuel Injector, to go out that will not get Fire, and Fuel Mixture to Spark Plug.
