Sounds like someone is after your hard earned cash ,you should be able to get the key re-programmed for around 40 euros from a mobile locksmith ,At the worst case scenario i would take the ECU out and by-pass the security system which is built into the ECU litteraly by joining the collector and emmiter connections on the transistor that allows the earth to reconnect the return from ignition and fuel systems .its quite simple to do once the ECU has been looked at and the circuit worked out how it works ,and no these ECU circuits are not available even to teh dealers they are like kept in sealed vaults with greater security than the crown jewels ,but their is always someone out their cleverer than the people that design them .

If you have to cycle the key 3,4 5, or more times to get it started, Replace the ignition switch. all you are doing is try to make contact with power and tabs inside the switch. Low or no power on a scan is normal. Because the switch isn't letting power get threw to the parts.

I have a 1997 ford econoline van e150. The heater is not blowing hot air. I got a new switch motor but some told me it needs to be timed. I don't know how to do tht Please help

If the fan motor is not running & you replaced switch problem could be blower motor or blower motor speed resistor if you vehicle has one.
Check with auto parts store if your vehicle has a resistor.
I hav enever heard of timing for/of a blower motor or switch.

Keys are available outwith the Mitsubishi dealer. Keys supplied will have a transponder chip in them but this will need to be coded into the car, which, if the key supplier cannot code, will then need to go to a Mitsubishi dealer. Probably easier going direct to the dealer

The Ignition switch could help and it is an inexpensive part to try. I would also try to get hold of a scanner and see if the computer is working and showing any problem Codes.

The recoding process is different even within the same Manufacturer. Usually you have a Coded key and insert it into the Ignition, then remove it and turn the Ignition 4 times or hit the Doorlock button 4 times and insert the blank key. The Ignition imprints the blank with the computer access code.

A bad Ignition switch would prevent the Codes from going through the key. But you may have to use a Vin# if you do not have a Coded key to duplicate and you will need to go through a Dealer.
