Question about Honda Accord

1 Answer

I am going to buy a Honda Accord V6 40 Luxury 2003 model from a private seller and I was wondering what are some problems I should look out for just in case. Especially because they are selling it to me for really cheap.

BEFORE buying car, ask seller if you can have an independent shop do a "pre sale inspection". If seller says NO, then pass on it. Hondas are good cars, but when sold cheap - I suspect problems. If seller says yes, then have a competent shop inspect it. It might cost a few $$ for inspection but it's cheap insurance.

Were. Can I buy a nice 1998 Honda accord for like 1000 dollars foe a good school car ?:)

Sounds a little low for a '98 Honda. More like an'88 model, or early '90's for that price. I've seen lots of hondas and toyotas that were beat to death with nearly 300,000 miles, and the sellers still were asking a premium price. Go figure. Whatever you decide, try to find something with relatively low miles so it doesn't nickel and dime you forever. Or find an old beater like my '87 celica that's so ugly, nobody would think of putting much into repairs for it, lol;.

2003 grand cheroki, overland 186000 kilometer

If you are buying from a dealer have it checked and inspected. If you are buying from a private seller ask to drive it and take it to Advanced Auto or another store and have the free computer check ran on it. If trouble codes pop up you may want to reconsider unless they are easy fix items. I myself had a 1996 Laredo and had minimal maitinence on it with 197k on the vehicle. Hope this helps. Stephen
