I believe this is a non-interference engine, which means that the valves will not touch the piston if your belt snaps and that means you just have to replace the timing belt to get your car up and running. You should do a quick google search with the year of your celica, engine model and the terms "interference engine" to verify, or just ask your local mechanic.

Well if u got a tow start i cant see it runining\
as none of the cams were turning
it might have jumped a bit
and it wont wreck your engine it will have to be retimed with the belt and the gear casing off\\\

and a camry engine will fit depending on the year of the engine

My Polo Playa 1.6 2002 was driving fine, just heard a loud bang (backfire) and car stalled . Will not start sounds like engine is not turning. What could be the issue?

check the timing belt has'nt snapped , do not try starting engine until you are sure the belt is in tact, if ok get the OBD codes read as will narrow down if a switch/sensor is at fault , if nothing shows check the cylinder compressions

I left my parking brake on for a few hundred yards and I heard a snap. Now the rear of the car drives very bumpy.

You likely ruined an axle bearing. Very serious.
It is also possible that you damaged brake components. Equally serious.
Have the car TOWED (do not drive it) to a garage for inspection.

When i start car rpm goes to 5000 and does not drop

It sounds like there is something wrong with the timing belt. Do NOT drive it; this could wreck your engine. Have it towed to your preferred mechanic ASAP.

2000 plymouth breeze 2.4 jumped timing and now leaking antifreeze.

that would'nt make any difference to water pressure! may be possible that your vehicle was overheating! overheating caused excessive pressure in the system, which popped(The noise you heard) one of the hoses, or a connection!

Car stalled from over heating!

Its a 93 toyota celica it stopped runnin while driving. i towed it home when i tried to start it, it cranked like twice as fast as usual and wont fire.

your timing belt may have snapped!! When this happens, there is no compression preventing the engine to start up. Because there is no compression, the engine spines easily. Remove upper timing belt cover and inspect the belt. If broken, replace the water pump belt and tensioner pulley $400-$650 job!!

if the belt is still intact I would guess that you blew out the power steering pump.

Warning t belt light remaining on

i would get it checked out. this may be a little bit of hassle now, but it saves a lot of hassle later on if the belt does snap, and a lot of money.

hope this helps.

Front brakes replaced and then heard a loud bang

A noise like that in brakes are not something to guess at, or play around with. Call the place that did the brake job, and explain to them what happened. My guess is that they will come to you, or advise you to very carefully bring it to them for a look. Might have been a stone wedged or something but don't take the chance, have it looked at, a.s.a.p. and don't drive it if you don't have to until then.
