Question about 1990 Toyota Celica
My timing belt snapped while i was driving.heard no bang so i got a tow start not realising what had happened.wondering if i totaly wrecked my engine.
I believe this is a non-interference engine, which means that the valves will not touch the piston if your belt snaps and that means you just have to replace the timing belt to get your car up and running. You should do a quick google search with the year of your celica, engine model and the terms "interference engine" to verify, or just ask your local mechanic.

Well if u got a tow start i cant see it runining\
as none of the cams were turning
it might have jumped a bit
and it wont wreck your engine it will have to be retimed with the belt and the gear casing off\\\
and a camry engine will fit depending on the year of the engine
