Hay does it do this when it is in open loop and then closed loop? does it do it when it is cold? If you run to town then shut it off and wait maybe hour or so then start it take off and it dies right down and then feels like it will die or shut off then all of a sudden does it go fast like nothing happened

your anti theft device is activated, you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob, call your car dealer to get a new one, they are programmed for each car only, you cannot bypass it.

2001 dodge Durango lobes

Keep adding your regular fuel until the supreme is diluted out of the system. The problem is that the car is not tuned to the octane rating of the supreme fuel and if EFI the CPU is probably having problems adjusting the sensors to suit.. Short of draining out the supreme and wasting fuel that is about all you can do.

Could be the Idle Air Control on the throttle body. A simple, low cost fix. Most auto stores carry the part.

2001 Dodge Durango will start from a jump.

replace the battery, on a dodge when battery is weak the idle air control solenoid tries to search for the right position. and will keep stalling sometimes wont stay running.
