My 2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0 has been having a few issues. It started with some noises, almost sounding like crickets chirping. This happens randomly at any time, when the car is stopped, and when it's moving but usually at lower speeds under 30. The second issue that came along is a high pitched groaning type noise. It's happened twice while I reached the stopping points at freeway off ramps, and once when I first turned my car on, still in park after running an errand. The last issue which happened tonight is I left for work, made it there with no problems. When I got off and went to start the car, lights came on and the stereo lit up, proving the battery is not the issue, but the engine would not turn over. The car has less than 67,000 miles on it and I am completely unsure of why it's having so many problems.

My 2007 Nissan sentra starts making a whining noise after driving for roughly 10min. When I accelerate harder the noise gets louder and has a higher pitch. When i let off of the accelerator the noise...

i would first check your surpentine belt to see if it is getting burnt up, most whining sounds are an indication of a bad pully either from the alternator, compressor, pwr steering pump, tensioner, idler pully,ect.ect., i would take the belt off and spin the pullys by hand untill you find wich one is bad

sounds like a cam chirping, cant remember if that was normal for that engine, mine did it randomly, oil light could be a bad pressure sensor, hopefully it isnt your bearings wearing out, good luck i hated this car

Thinking of buying a 07 Nissan Sentra 4dr Sedan, car inspection noted: " mild noise while driving sounds like valve train or injectors noise" Is this a major concern?

You bet it can be a major concern. It may be a minor issue but it may be a major problem. Why take a chance? There are plenty of used cars out there with no problems. Walk away from this car and do not look back.

Chirp when starting

You probably have the same issue as many Sentra owners- bleed off of fuel pressure. This would cause a hard starting condition when the vehicle sits overnight. See TSB# NTB05-052a for the procedure. This is a dealer-only repair (parts are not available aftermarket).

As for the squeal, I've seen a LOT of this- the belts on these vehicles are less than excellent quality. The belts might look fine and some mechanics will say that they don't need to be replaced, but they are noisy and they can't be quieted up even by overtensioning them. Replacement is the only repair. Aftermarket belts can also be very noisy, so I would suggest Original Equipment (Nissan) belts.

Hope this is helpful!!!
