Unfortunately, this is a somewhat common problem. Ford has issued several Technical Service Bulletins related to rear end noise. Without an extended warranty, this is something you will have to pay for.
TSB 05-23-3 11/28/05 REAR AXLE NOISE REPAIR FORD: 1997-2005 Expedition, F-150 2002-2005 Explorer LINCOLN: 1998-2005 Navigator 2003-2005 Aviator MERCURY: 2002-2005 Mountaineer
ISSUE:
Some vehicles may exhibit an axle whine or hum during acceleration, deceleration and/or cruise.
ACTION: An axle repair kit has been developed which incorporates most parts required for a comprehensive axle repair. The kit should be used instead of installing a complete axle assembly to repair an axle whine/hum. Replace Ring and Pinion with Axle Kit and Components.

Is this something I can do myself or I would need a mechanic to take care of?

This is repairing the rear axle, and differential. For this one should have a lot of expertise and tools. If you have not done this before I will recommend taking it to a very qualified and very trusted garage. The axle service kit includes -- 1. 4630 - Head Bearing 2. 4628 - Head Bearing Cup 3. 4676 - Pinion Seal 4. 386989-S2 - Washer (Slinger) 5. 4621 - Tail Bearing 6. 4616 - Tail Bearing Cup 7 4222 - Differential Bearing Cups 8. 4221 - Differential Bearings 9. 4209 - Gear Set (includes pinion shims, pinion nut and crush spacer) 10. 4209 - Is the instruction Sheet

Sorry, sometimes I have to give not the best of news. This job calls for 5.9 hours. Depending on their hourly charge and the cost of the parts the final bill can very greatly. They will also switch to a 75/140 Motorcraft Synthetic Ford gear lube for that differential as well.

Your bulb could be bad. With gloves or a plastic bag covering your fingers, remove and switch bulbs to see if problem moves and follows the bulb. If problem is still on Drivers side, I believe these high energy systems used 2 headlight relays, one for each side. Could be you changed the wrong relay(you did not say if you replaced a bulb or relay).

My fuse box is makeing a real fast clicking sound on a 2004 lincoln/navigator

Mine was a bad battery, it does not have the power to activate the solenoid switch for the fuse box, that is the fast cliking sound you hear, test your battery, hook it up to another battery or jumper cables.

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!

2004 Lincoln Navigator, Strange ticking noise coming from rear passenger 3 row area over wheel well some sort of computer box. only when turn ignition or vehicle running, sounds like clock ticking

This is caused by a blend door actuator on the rear a/c unit. There are 2 located on the case. Take it to a dealer and they will know what you are talking about.

It could be spark knock. You should have a sensor to keep that from happening. So will a tank of Premium gas.

Another possibility is a loose heat shield on the exhaust system. Lincolns usually have longer warranties, call a dealer and see if it is covered. If it is part of the emissions system, the warranty is even longer.
