My mazda MPV 2000 wont start. I was starting the car in neutral for about 2 weeks, and about 3 times I started it doing a bit pressure from "neutral" to drive, but now nothing works. I still listen like a clik but it doesn't starte. The battery is good.

I had the same problem a month ago. my van would not start at all. I replaced the starter and ignition switch and still does the same thing, but when I replaced the neutral safety switch,it has been working ever since. Try replacing the neutral safety switch. it's located underneatht the battery. I paid almost $70 dollars from the dealer.

2000 Mazda MPV, does not start and the transmision panel is bliking some time

If you have an alarm system it may be faulty, and cutting off power to prevent theft. Also; check neutral safety switch, and if service engine light is on then check for codes.

2000 Mazda MPV, does not start and the transmision panel is bliking some time

Usually this is due to the position of the gear shift, brake or clutch. Most vehicles require one or more of the following to start the engine:

1) Transmission in "Park" (or "Neutral" if a standard)
2) Clutch Pressed in fully (if a standard)
3) Pressure on Brake Pedal (on some newer vehicles - enough to make brake lights come on)

If you're doing what you used to have to do normally to start the car, you may have a bent linkage that prevents the car's electronics from detecting that the car is indeed in park. If an auto transmission, try pushing the shifter further towards park - or in some cases - more towards the Neutral position.

MY 2004 KIA SPECTRA WONT START UNLESS ITS IN NEUTRAL

Parking switch damaged. The two starting positions P and N both have a separate safety switch which allows starter motor to crank only in these two positions.
Replace the "Parking Starting switch".

Mazda 2000 mpv will not start in park but will start in neutral why?

The most likely cause is a bad neutral safety switch. It should be on top of the transmission. Follow the shifter cable through the firewall and the switch will be near the end of the cable

Yes, that was too much. The neutral safety switch costs around $70 (if I remembered right). I bought it from my Mazda dealer and asked them for a diagram to locate it. In most cases, my Mazda dealer has been helpful in provide diagrams for this minivan. The switch is located underneath the battery (you'll have to remove it) on the transmission. Make sure it is aligned right when you replace the switch; otherwise it won't find neutral, and you'll have to use the bypass switch on top of the steering column to start you engine.
