Question about Ford Bronco II

My bronco2 wont start. Just replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, battery, fuel injector modal, I've tried to locate the restart button, think i've found it but it was broke. What do i do now or what is my next step. Just so you know the white piece that I think is the restart button I found inside the truck in the glove box.

Starter if engine wont crank....otherwise if it turns over but no start then it could be electrical maybe ignition module.if starter no work tap with hammer while trying to start they get hung up or on a flat spot an that usually jars them free...try electrical first pull one spark plug and see if when you trun it over the spark jumps the plug if it does then it is a fuel problem...dont hold spark plug wire position it to lay away fro everything...nobody likes gettin shocked no matter how funny it is after.....

The injector pump is not working looking to replace


Chevy is not big on injector pumps .
Usually the fuel pump dose that job 66 psi and use's regulator for the all of the injectors with a lot of fuel returning to the tank.
The fuel filter is critical to this system as well as the pump .
However you did not specify the engine make modal or year of the vehicle .

Truck would not excellerate pas ten miles now it wont start. when i play with the fuel restart button it starts rough and dies


See there were several postings. Was internal fuel tank screen good when pump was changed? Was disposable fuel filter changed? I had similar problems and it turned out that the internal filter screen broke apart and clogged the fuel lines.

The crankshaft sensor was also bad as fuel pump was tested during internal tank filter work.

Also check your injector wires. Even having fuel pressure is nothing if the injectors are not opening to let fuel into the cylinders.

I have an 2003 ford expedition that just stopped . i first changed fuel filter, fuel pump, cleaned injectors, changed filters, spark plugs, cleaned throtle, then had it checked further and tjhe mechanic...


Probably the inertia switch for the fuel pump..You owners manual should show you where its located..See if the button has pop up ..If it has push it back down until it clicks..If it wont stay down then hold it down and see if it will start..If it does you will have to replace it..If thats all good then check the relay for the fuel pump..

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

Troubleshooting the no-start condition - from the 1990 Mitsu Mighty Max Repair Manual:

Need more info.......It could be the injectors are not pulsating...Check to see if it is spraying fuel from the injectors....If not it should be a clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump....It is almost definite though that it is the fuel pump/sending unit in the tank ...IF it is not spraying from injectors....
Disconnect battery remove main fuel line going in the fuel filter under vehicle frame at drivers side..with drain pan under it of course...Reconnect battery turn engine over and watch for fuel...
You will need an assistant...Most people think fuel is under great pressure but it is not.....If everything works the fuel will come out in a stream...But it wont come out like a bullet...
If fuel comes out Fuel pump in tank is good...Then your problem is at the injectors ...I would change the filter of course anyway...unless you just have...You will see rusty dirt come out of it if it is clogged...It is always good to change fuel filter every 15,ooo....Todays fuel is terrible...I would first check or swap fuel relay with a new relay or identical relay in fuse power block ...Make sure they are all good....................What engine and how many miles ? I think your fuel pressure is borderline.How accurate is the gauge? Those injectors usually wont work under 58psi. I would replace the fuel pumpp and filter if the truck has over 125K miles on the original pump. .

Where is fuel pump relay on 1988 Ford Bronco II


Fuse panel is located inside vehicle under dashboard on driver side. Fussible relays and links are located under the hood on the front of vehicle on drivers side.

1991 astro . 4.3 135000 miles . turns over wont start. cranks and has spark but wont start. if you put gas in fuel injector ports starts and dies. pulled fuel filter off and was clear. bad fuel pump or...


listen for a buzzing sound in the rear when turning the key.
if you cannot than take off the fuel filter and let it hang down. than try turning on the key. fuel should spill out smartly. if not replace the pump.

1998 chevy c15 5.7 SFI SYSTEM


My truck did this after I replaced the fuel pump. Turned out to Fuel Pressure Regulator. It would crank and crank but never start. It's located underneath the black plastic manifold on the side of the injectors.
