May be ignition sensor?did the fuel pump have power was it a new pump so you are sure it works did he test run it before instalation?pull a spark plug lay it asside an attached to plug wir dont hold it shocks arent nice....but watch plu gfor spark as someone cranks truck over this will determine for you wethr spark is good or not ....but check that fuel pump works and has power....does truck motor rotate/turn over cuz it could be starter or loose dirty cables loose wire connection to starter or starters hang up sometimes you can tap starter with a hammer while someone tries to start it .that will usually jar a jammed up starter. thanks for using fix ya.

2000 explorer won't start cranks OK, drove it to the store with no problems got back in won't turn over to start.

Try some starting fluid, if it wants to run then you need to check the Inertia switch. The location of this switch is behind the passengers foot kickpanel.

There is a Reset button that you push and it will reconnect the fuelpump. Please rate my info. You can try the Reset without testing with starting fluid but the fluid verifies fuel starvation as the problem.

Car cranked fine drove 80 miles shut off car went back to crank it would not do anything

Most likely battery related:
1. Clean battery terminals, remove the battery cables and clean the cable clamps and the battery posts. It may start now.
2. The negative cable, where it connects to the engine ground, is loose, corroded, damaged, or otherwise not making good ground contact.
3. Turn ON headlights and try to start engine. If there is a slight dimming or no dimming, the solenoid needs replacement (maybe the starter, too).
