I have a 2004 Silverado 2500 HD Duramax with Dual Zone ATC. This solution will not work due to the fact that there is no Vacuum motors on this climate control system. It is all electronic... Electronic control head, wires, motors, actuators, etc. Occasionally it will change positions, but usually settles out at defrost. I pulled the control head out and any other easy access panels and found no apparent wiring damage. I believe the problem lies in the mode doors but I have no diagrams or info to confirm this.

Whenb this happens you have most likely lost the vacum to the control and so the unit goes iunto defrost as a safety feature you may want to chk for vacum

2009 chevy AVEO 5 ac blows hot air

The guage needs to read between 35/40 psi.. If its much higher you may be overfull, this causes it to not cool.. Fix by letting some freon out, then top it back to needed pressure.. If pressure is correct, it would be a clog in the system.. Usually an orafice tube or accumulator..good luck!

Chevy trailblazer engine gets too hot only when i blow the air conditioner

always check coolant level first, then if ok. check fan for a/c it should come on and run anytime the a/c is on. so turn a/c on and see if fan kicks on right away if not check relay.
hope this helped.

If it has dual zone temp. control it is most likely the heater control panel.

Heater failure is designed to fail in defrost mode. Check for leaking or dislodged vac hoses.

Replaced battery in 2004 chevy trailblazer 4x4 8cl., then air conditioner doesnt blow out the face vents only the defrost and feet. any ideas?

Typically, you have a vacuum issue, air flow system is designed to FAIL in the defrost mode, so no vacuum, doors are spring loaded to blow out defrost ports.

Intermittant hot/cold air from heater

Had the same problem with my Mazda6 awhile back. Took it to the dealer and they found the radiator wasn't holding pressure. They replaced the whole radiator under warranty (WHEW!). Not sure how to check for that kind of thing, but it's a start.

CHECK YOUR CONDENSER IT MIGHT NOT BE GROUNDED. MINE DID THE SAME THING IT WOULD COME ON AND THE CONDENSER WOULD RUN FOR A FEW MIN. THEN KICK OFF AND NOT COME BACK ON MAKING IT BLOW COOL AND NOT COLD
