Check for a bad fuel pump relay. it maybe geting hot and shutting down. it may be a bad coolant tempurature sensor also, that sends info to ecm.The engine will think it was still cold, even though it was not, causing all kinds of things to run draggy. thats why it runs ok when its cold. it sends wrong info to computer. thinking its cold, when in reality its warm. have a good day !!

My honda passport doesn't want to go forward when accelerating at a stop

Sounds like hydraulic pressure issue in the trans. If it just revs like its in neutral when you try to go. Does it drive ok for a few mins when you first start it then does this after it warms up a bit? If so sounds like the transmission filter is clogged up. Unfortunately it's an internal part and trans tear down is required to fix it.

sound like your throttle positioning sensor or even yhe throttle it self it is electronic as far as i know the tiny metal bands come of and if the reading from the pedal sensor is incorect fuel shut of wil ocure

Car boggles down when trying to start it up

sounds like it is flooding... try starting it while pushing the accelerator all the way to the floor.. do not pump it, just push it all the way to the floor and leave it until it starts up and then let off on it

Noise from engine or transmission cant tell

The sound could also be from the fuel pump. This comes on a cold engine. The way to sort it is to change your driving technique. Do not accelerate too much till the temp gauge starts showing the change. for the first minute or two if you do not accelerate too much then you may not hear the sound the rest of the day. Let the engine/fuel pump warm up a little and then you drive your normal self.

Car gets warm and starts hesitating on acceleration

Hi,
this could be something in the fuel pump. As the cold motor draws more fuel, it may just be just ok for the engine, but after it is warm, it draws less and may "suffocate" it that way. Same goes for air filter, take a peek if it is not ready for replacement. Has this happened suddenly, or has it occurrend during a long perion of time?

When starting from cold car runs ok for few seconds then hunts/missfire can cuts out.re starts ok but will do the same again ubtill you get a bit of heat into engine then its ok!

i advice you to change the spark plugs, this is cause because at cold start the engine needs a rich mixture in order to maintain a smooth idle, before driving the car, when starting from cold ,what you have to do is to accelerate up to 2000 rpm for 3 minutes then you drive it,then it should be ok

Once truck is started if i drive it has a lag

I would have the computer scanned ( no SERVICE LIGHTS right ? ) looking for an errant coolant sensor not telling the computer to give your vehicle a bit RICHER ( a little bit more fuel ), since it does start. Just has POOR cold drive away. Hope this helps

Rough idle and acceleration

I am not a mechanic, so I dont know for sure, but it sounds like a problem I had with my car. It turned out there was a bad wire. We serviced the wires and spark plugs and problem solved.
