Why does my car not move from a stop until I rev it up and then it kicks in like being rear ended?

Failed Transmission

That happens frequently, when you do not change trans
fluid every 3 years,power steering will fail next,(No Fluid Flushing)

I would have it checked for electronic issues before anything else

Since you continue to use it & it neutrals out & bangs into gear,you
ruined any chance to escape a complete rebuild, from my experience as a former trans shop owner

2002 ram 1500 5,9 4x4 hesitates and makes a banging noise when it finally switches back into 2 wheel drive

While the driveshaft and u-joint suggestions all sound like good places to start, because of the way you describe, I have a few questions. Is the truck stock? Height, tire size, did you change hubs etc...? Do you take the truck off road? In mud, sand trails...? Do you ploiw or tow? Do you maintain the driveline according to the useage?Is the hesitation due to it getting stuck in neutral (in the transfer case)? Does the truck make the same noises shifting into neutral or 4 whl hi to low? Are you moving when you shift it? If you come top a complete stop, shift trans to neutral, shift from 4x4 to 4x2, does that change anything? Any other info would be helpful to try and narrow the issue.

I have done shocks bilsteins front sway bar eibach brakes diff gasket and cover performance stering stablizer all tie rods all 4 bALLJOINTS NEW 20 INCH RIMS AND BRAND NEW TIRES FUTERA GOODYEARS 3 DIF...

I can think of two things not easily seen that can cause a banging when hitting small bumps;
The sway bar end links could be loose or broken.
The rear shock bolts, the lower bolt that holds the shock onto the rear axle, I've seen that mounting hole down there get enlarged, allowing the shock bolt to move about when hitting small bumps, causing a banging sound.
Check those two things out.

think you have a shock absorber problem ,they can break inside well not exactly break but a valve sticks causing the vehicle to bounce more which you didnt notice but no doubt it happened then when bounced on the level crossing it freed itself again .Very rare but i have seen it before ,took ages to diagnose
