You don't specify what type of chevrolet you have but i'll try to help you as most of them have same procedure pry the molding that goes around gently whit a screw driver if you have another tool that is more flat like a long spatula or else starting from any end or corner and moving toward the other end it will snap off it clips to the actual dash and if this have any electric buttons or devices attached unplug then you will see the 4 screws that hold the radio take them off and unplug radio to instal just reverse procedure and snap the trim on by pushing or taping please let me know if this helped or give more details of your car if you need more info i'll be happy to assist you.

Just bought this used car and the CD load is very sensitive and will only let me load 1 out of every 6 I try. Is this normal?

Try a dust cleaner but do not shake the can. Just insert the shaft into the removed cd slot and shoot some air in there, then try a cd cleaner disc to clean the disc lens. If the disc player is just shooting them out also try removing and unplugging the radio assembly and shaking the radio, slot facing down maybe something is lodged in the cd input area...kids love that slot...

My child put peeny's in my cd player and now it

Buy this  http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Civic-CR-V-Haynes-Repair/dp/1563927454
, it's very cheap, and follow it to the letter to remove the cd player. With the cd player out just remove its casing and take out the pennies.

A penny fell into my driver cig. lighter and now my radio dosnt even come on and my coolent fan wont turn off

You have shorted the circuit and the fuse has most likely blown. Get the coin out, tweezers may help. Once removed, replace the fuse. The fuse panel is usually by the lower drive side area. If not it is in the problem just ask again. good luck

Hi... We just bought a used 2004 nissan quest, the radio was working fine then all of a sudden one day it stopped working. Anyway to fix it??? Thank you

Hello,
I just bought a 04 quest, and my radio would go out also. If you tap the console from the side, or you go over railroad track and it comes in and out, then there is a penny or some kind of change in the CD player. It also shorted out my DVD system. I went to the GV Electronics to have the dealership replace the DVD/TV, and they found a penny shorting out the Disc Player. (the previous owners kid must have put a penny in the CD hole.)

Controls for radio/cd player work on and off.

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.
