You need to hook up the car to the factory tool, and check for codes. I think the lower limit for the main or 5th bow potentiometer needs to be adjusted. lots of service information at www.saabservices.com in the convertible top section

I have a SAAB 900S and i got the message "coolant level low" is there a specific type of coolant I need to fill it up with or will any "good" coolant do?

Get your owners manual out of the glove box and figure out whether you have an 03 VW TDI or a SAAB 900S. When you have done that look in the back of the manual for recommended coolants and lubricants. You can find this type of info yourself in the manual.

I have a saab convertable, 1998 r reg. the audible warning sound

The latches are for the top of the windsheld frame were the top latches to. There are switchs in the holes were the pins for the top go in when the top is up. It could have some dirt in the holes or the switch is sticking. Clean the holes were the switchs are this maybe wd 40 a small amount. this worked for mine.

1996 SAAB 900s ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Problem.

pull the drivers knee bolster and check for water under the dash and carpets, second remove the single to-rx screw holding the relay panel in place pull it down and be sure all the relays are tight wiggle them around i have gotten bad connections here that caused similar problems also check all the connectors under there and every plug into the back of the fuse relay panel, if that leads you no where you need to get a wiring diagram for each of these circuits and find their common place such as a ground or relay power please rate i will try to find my repair cd for these diagrams -jeffbest of luck and i will be back with diagrams -jeff
