Question about 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible

Convertible top has flaps hanging on inside of car. back seat area both sides, looks like it should snap to something but don't see anywhere to snap it.

There is a nylon cord that pulls the side flaps down when it opens. On mine one of the eyelets that the cord runs through broke ( a plastic piece. I am working on mine now. one sid eof mine still works right and I'm able to copy it. I'll post the solution when I get it fixed.

There is a channel that runs around the perimeter of the rear window. Just push the headliner border into this channel as you work your way around the window. You have to use some force to get it all the way in and it is a little tedious. But it works!

Flapping noise seems to come from drivers side like something caught and slapping against the road
look for loose mud flaps. check under the front of the vehicle as there is a plastic panel from under the radiator back to the front cross member. This is light weight plastic and held in position by small plastic plugs/clips Hitting something on the road (small bird-- clump of rag or parking over a tire stop in the parking centre )will break it and it hangs down and flaps as you drive.

Water under back seat of bmw 3 series
Confused. Title says 3 series and problem shows 1 series. I believe you may have a convertible 3 series. There are drain holes that get plugges and the water will enter the area under the back seat. These drains are located in the trunk just inside the top ledge of the interior near where the trunk hinges are. About the size of the thickness of a pencil. Let me know how that works out.

Looking for plastic piece back flap of 2003 beetle automatic convertible
beetles always have something breaking, the junkyards have a lot of them, you should be able to find a whole complete top for a decent price and go after the "reputable" shop to reimburse you.
if you want to just get the plastic part that is possible too from the junkyard, what i do with my beetle is look at the junkyard car so i know how to put it together once i get the part home.

My 328i 1999 convertible is half way open and dont wanna close or open. how do i manually close it?
u need to remove the bottom part of ur rear seat, just pull it out. There is a lever to left side under this seat with a red flap, pull the lever it will diengage the motors that control ur convertible soft top. This may be too late in posting. There are some great air fresheners that are a quick, inexpensive fix. The brand you want to look for is called Autoicon1.png Expressions, Ventfresh airfresheners. Pep boys in my area, colorado springs, has a better choice than autozone. They run about 3-4$ for a package of four. AE vent clips look better in the vents than Refresh and other brands which have big round white head that clash with the black.

I went to put down my convertible top and it hit something in the back seat and now it is stuck. I had to manually put it down, the electrical part of it is still not working, Can anyone give me some...
I don,t understand how roof hit something in back seat
If roof is down you need to use special tool located end of driver side dash
Flip of plastic cover to see tool
Check owner manual how to use
The tool will locate between rear seat,this will close and lock rear cover
Make sure both sides of rear cover lock,get friend to press down
Once rear cover is locked down,remove tool,and check opperation
Make sure doors shut and windows down

There shouls be 2 straps inside the trunk at the top. Both on the driver side but one is for the left side and one for the right side seats. Pulling on the straps releases the 'lock' that should then allow you to pull down the seats from the back seat area.

I can't figure out of the back seat in my 1998 toyota corolla lays down
Open the trunk & pull the 2 small knobs, one on either side, inside the top area of the trunk cavity, right under the rear glass area.

Lock does not engage on my 2006 convertible when top is down? Top goes up and down fine, but does not lock when down . So alarm goes off when driving. I have already replaced micro switch on hydraulic ram. Do I need to reset a code for the micro switch?
