Depends on what model car you have, some models had a fuel cut off switch that was triggered by the oil sensor switch. It is possible that the lead was pulled off accidentally as you were working on the car, this oil sensor switch by the oil filter. Also Look for any wire you may have accidentally pulled apart or off. If the car kicks over with the starter, but does not run also check your distributor cap center lead, to see if you may have dislodged the main coil lead going from the distributor to your coil.

I need to know what the spark plug wire firing order is on a 2001 KIA Optima V6 2.5L

Most gasoline six cylinder engines fire in sequential order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. And most cylinders are numbered the same. Looking at the engine from the front of the vehicle. The left cylinders are old starting at 1 closest to you and in sequential order. The right cylinders are even starting at 2 closest to you and in sequential order.

Misfire low fuel on start cylinder 5, 6

While the engine is running pull the spark plug wires on one cylinder at a time (assuming you can do so safely). When you pull a write you should notice the engine stutter, if you pull one and nothing happens that cylinder had a spark problem and you should change the plugs and wires, all six, even if only one doesn't respond.

165000 miles auto non turbo sitting 6 months plus starts fine, rough idle 1100 rpm sounds and feels like not firing on all six. does this car kill plugs easy?

It's been sitting for six months, plugs probably have corrosion or rust on them. That and your fuel is probably turned to soup. Put in new plugs and a really heavy duty fuel system cleaner. You might consider changing all filters too - especially fuel filter.

Hi i have a 03 impala it started missing I took it and had the code read. The check engine lite was flashing not just on . It showed #5 cyclinder miss fireing so I changs the plugs and wires. The auto parts...

With out a diagram to show you this will be difficult to explain so bear with my explaination. Starting from the passenger side of the car reading to the drivers it is 6,3 2,5 4,1. Now for where the wires go. The spark plugs you can see( front) are 2, 4, 6 reading the same same way passenger to drivers side. The other side 1, 3, 5 reading from passenger side to drivers side. I hope this helps. You probably need a fuel injector to correct the original problem.

Looking for distributor wire diagram

If your engine is a four cylinder, the firing order is as follows; from left to right on the block..1-2-3-4...look at the top of the distributor cap: counter clockwise from #1, the order is...1-3-4-2. If your engine is a six cylinder, face the front of the engine...left bank is: 1-3-5...right bank is: 2-4-6...look at top of distributor cap starting with #1...read counter clockwise...1-2-3-4-5-6. Let me know how you make out. Master FixYa...saailer@att.net
