That may be a cooling line. They won't come off but they can leak.

How can i change the transmission oil and filter and how many liter of oil i well used in dodge caliber 2008

you have to raise the car take the trans pan off be careful the fuild will pour out fast.tip lossen all pan bolts a little bit then take just half the bolts out slowly so only one side of the pan comes down fuilded will drine take whole pan down.the filter is up in there pulls right off some only have one bolt to take off put new filter in push in place replace pan gasket that comes with filter.put pan back up criss crossing the bolts till tieght than add about 3 and a half L fuiled check add as fuild till full may take up to 5L or more.tip make sure you shift the trans threw the gears than recheck fuild.goodluck may be messy

About 2 weeks ago the o/d off started blinging and would not go off auto still shifted and ran o. k. then last night it stopped pulling i cut it off and checked fuild level it was fine. started engines...

Need to do a transmission computer scan,
if you get a code of solenoid a & b, you will need to replace the relay box's, remove transmission pan and it's bolted right up in there, you can see it when you drop the pan.

Where is the fuel filter location on a 2001 ford explorer sport trac?

It is inside the left frame rail below the drivers door, you need a special tool to release the filter from the line. filter just snaps into its metal holder. Good luck and you can get the fuel line quick release tool at most Auto Parts store.

there is no drain plug on the trans, u must drop the pan to service the trans, they do this so the trans filter will get changed while u are in there.

No reverse..1998 exporer sport 2 door 4x4 sohc v6 auto

your transmission part number for a motocraft rebuilt trans would be TRM1341, as far as they list it the transmission was only for that year, meaning you would need to find another 1998 explorer or 1998 mercury mountaineer in order to replace your trans. hope this helps :)

Where is transmission drain plug 2001 FRD Explorer Sport

2001 Ford Explorer, depending on the engine option, will have either a 4R70W or 5R55E model transmission.Neither trans has a drain or fill plug in the pan or case.Changing the fluid is achieved either by removing all the pan bolts, removing the pan and fluid, then reinstalling and adding fluid through the filler tube,or by a shop that has a total flush machine that usually hooks into the cooler lines.I also change the filter on both transmissions as part of the fluid service. The 4R70W trans has a gasket that is reuseable for the life of the vehicle. The 5R55E pan requires a new gasket if dropping the pan.
