If you mean the component that controls the operation of the injector for cyl#3,it is located in the computer and is a none replaceable item unless the computer is sent out to a shop that specializes in computer repair as it is part of the electronic board in the computer.

The fuel injectors are grounded by the engine control unit at pins 3c and 3e. #1 and #2 are grounded together as well as #3 and #4. Power is supplied to injectors from the Main relay at the Black/Yellow wire at each injector.

90 300zx fuel pump works its getting spark be injectors wont open what can be the problem?


Possibly a computer (ECCS control unit) malfunction, but first check the white/black wire going to each injector. All should have power on them with ignition key in on. This white/black wire comes from the computer's pin # 58, then is spliced to all 6 injectors. If no power to injectors, check the wire continuity from the ECCS' #58 pin to the injectors.

The ground wire from each injector also goes into the control unit, but individually, so that the control unit may ground the injector circuit and cause pulse.

If the wiring is good, no breaks or shorts, it may be a computer malfunction, but first find out if the variable valve timing affects injector pulsing. I don't know anything about it, but you have 2 VTC (valve timing control) solenoids, one for each side of the engine. Both are located near or on the firewall behind the engine, near the middle. Looks like 3 solenoids there, the middle one is the EGR solenoid, and the VTC solenoids are on each side of the EGR solenoid. Best I can do from a very poor wiring diagram I was looking at.

You checked for spark, but did you check on all six plugs for spark?

If your compression is fine, and you know you have spark, then I would suspect the fuel injector is not functioning. This can be the injector or the harness. If it is not too hard to get at them, try switching two of the injectors and seeing if the misfire changes to the cylinder that you put #3 on. This way you won't buy an injector unless you need it. If the misfire is still on #3 then you have a problem with the wires controlling the injector or possibly even a problem with the controller. (note, remember to replace the bad injector not the one you put in #3 if this works. )

Code 0308 indicates a misfire was detected in cylinder 8. You say you checked the fuel injector and it is OK. Other probable causes include:
1. Control unit software in need of updating
2. Faulty PCM or ECM
3. Ignition system wires
4. Fuel system

Cant locate my fuel injector in my 95 chevy blazer


Your '95 blazer does not have fuel injectors as such. Fuel delivery is accomplished by way of a " throttlebody" injection system. This unit is mistaken for a carbuerator but is systematically controlled through several electrical connections by the on board computer.

Fuel injectders ,not opening up


1 : If the engine is hard to start when hot, check fuel pressure and check the injector for leaks.

2: If the injector does not operate when the engine that is hard to start is cranked, the following as well
as the injector itself may be responsible.
(1) Faulty power supply circuit to the engine control unit, faulty ground circuit
(2) Faulty MFI relay
(3) Faulty crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor

3. If there is any cylinder whose idle state remains unchanged when the fuel injection of injectors is cut
one after another during idling, make following checks about such cylinder.
(1) Injector and harness check
(2) Ignition plug and high tension cable check
(3) Compression pressure check

4: If the injector harness and individual part checked good but the injector drive time is out of
specification, the following troubles are suspected.
(1) Poor combustion in the cylinder (faulty ignition plug, ignition coil, compression pressure, etc.)
(2) Loose EGR valve seating
(3) High engine resistance
