Question about 1999 Ford Taurus

I had gotten stuck and was pulled out and the person who pulled me out wrapped the chain around a bar that sits horizontally by the axel. It goes from the middle of the car to the tire. What is this part?

Based off the description provided I would say that it was either the tie rod or the control arm. If you are worried about any damage that may have occured I would just drive the vehicle and make sure that it drives straight and make sure there are no clunking or popping noises. If you are not comfortable with that then most auto repair facilities should not charge you to just take a peak under there and make sure it is visually ok.

If it is on the front then it will likely be your tie rod...

Where would I hook a chain to my 2013 Equinox to pull it out of mud?

wrap it around the aluminum cross bar underneath. This is the frame. A tow truck would put the chain thru the lower control arm.

2 questions come to mind has the new sprocket got the same pitch ( distance between teeth ) as the crank shaft sprocket as this will make the chain jump out after a few degrees of movement. A quick check is to wrap the chain around the sprocket and see if there are links that do not sit fully around the teeth. There are different pitches for teeth and chains ( BA-- AM and metric)

Clunk clunking in the front end,

Have you checked for a big can wrapped around your front axel? Seriously, This could be anything from brakes, to axel, to suspension. Could be simple or major you need to have it looked at... Good luck

How do i remove the starter from 1995 Ford Aspire?

You can take 2 blocks of wood and or rags and with the hood open place one on either strut tower then using a bar or 2x4, lay it across the 2 blocks so that it sits over the engine, then take a chain or strap of some sort and attach one end to a strong bracket or intake manifold, with the one end securely fastened to the top of the engine take the other end and wrap it around the 2x4/bar that is hanging over the engine already and then securely fasten it back to its self making sure that the chain/strap has no slack. then your engine and trans will be safely secured and can not drop through the bottom of the engine bay.

Remove cv shaft 2002 hyundai accent left side

It will be pretty hard to remove as there is a a clip on the end that makes it hard to remove and install. You may be able to insert a pry bar in between the transmission and the axle, or wrap a chain/rope around the axle where it goes in to the transmission.

make sure that the engine is jacked up and is sitting straight so you can pull the axel out. The engine may be putting too much force on the the tranny so you cannot puch the axel through
