Question about Nissan Sentra

1 Answer

While driving my 1999 Nissan Sentra, the clutch lost all resistance while engaging it, and started squeaking like an old mattress. It's still shifting fine (for now) but I want to know if I need to replace it or just adjust it. Thanks.

low fluid indicates a loss of fluid so top it up Check the slave cylinder for leaks at the piston . If ok replace the clutch master cylinder as the compensating port is blocking and not allowing the fluid to return to the reservoir and is holding the clutch off.

Hello if you fell your clutch is going out that is probably why fith gear is not working. Clutch can be fixed at your local mechanic if it is the clutch transmission would not need any attention as being replaced.

Sorry, but your clutch is self-adjusting. The symptoms you describe indicate that it's time for a replacement.

It could be that you have picked up a batch of dirty fuel that has clogged the gauze input filter that is part of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.

check the switch that the clutch actuates.your ignition sounds like it works.some cars also must be in neutral if yours does the wires for this will plug into the transmission.you can bypass the switch at that point.
