You will need to back sure you used all the old ignition switch parts (pats- passive anti-theft system) parts, if you didn't use the old security ignition parts it won't allow the vehicle to start.

92 olds cutlass supreme, shifter moves into gear, but car will not move. Help

It\'s right where the shifter cable goes into the shaft, look
right next to the steering cloumn under the hood, the switch
won\'t keep the car from moving tho,it just wouldn\'t start. But you
could look there to make sure the cable hasn\'t broken or come
unhooked. The cable goes to an arm about 3 inches long just
make sure the arm moves when shifting.

This car has electric power steering. To diagnose you need a GM Tech2 scanner or equivalent to read the codes.

Have a 2003 BMW i want to change the steering wheel, has air bag. I want to make sure i dont set off the air bag, 1st thing i did is desconect the battery. then?

Carefully remove the cloumn housin, there are two wires which actually go up into the steering wheel if so disconnect them, if it has stereo controls etc on the the wheel, there is a plastic pushfit connector. Disconnect it. Behind the wheel the should be 4 bolts, undo the bolts and carefully, with a soft robber hammer, tap the wheel off the spline.

The speedodmeter cable is held to the guage by a retaining clip. I'm not sure what clips you mean. Ebay has Haynes and Motor manuels for your car.
