SOURCE: My son was trying to

My experience with that would be to use a hot air gun or a hair dryer (would take a little longer) to heat up the mounting piece, then carefully use a razor blade between windshield and glass to remove the adhesive. Be Extremely Careful. Razor Blade will get Hot and Brittle.

The rear view mirror hangs down. How do I get it up and stay there?

There is a special glue for mirrors available from most auto parts stores. You clean the glass and base, then glue it to the glass.
Hold it in place for a few hours with tape while the glue dries.

Glue windows

the glass in the door window is not normally glued in the regulator track but is pressed in the rubber with the use of soap which dries out and that means that the pressure of the metal is what holds the glass in place. There will be difficulties if the window guides are incorrectly adjusted and the glass is allowed to go up an angle instead of straight up.. Normally the track at the back of the door is fixed and the front track is adjustable to hold the glass correctly

The top has seperated from the glass at the bottom

Order some "Rhino" glue online. Raise the top about a foot and put a block of wood or a shoe box between the windshield and the front of the top to hold the top up in the air. Or use anything that will keep the top from lowering back down by itself. Now, go to the rear window and pull that flap piece that has separated from the glass up as far as it will go on the glass, Starting in the middle glue 3 inches at a time. Hold it down on the glass for 30 seconds or however long you feel comfortable. Then work 3 inches at a time to the left. When done with that do the right side. Let it sit 24 hours before removing the box or whatever was used to keep top propped up. That allows the glue to fully cure and it will last a long time. Remember, if you stretch it make sure you let it cure 24 hrs. If you just glue it where its laying without stretching it, you dont have to wait as long. If the inside has come undone, do that first, then wait 24 hrs and do the outside then.

Reattach rear defrost terminal on rear glass

If you use cyanoacrylate, (super glue paste) that will hold it. Make sure the foil is also stuck or it will burn out from a hot spot.

I need to know how to install the mirror glass on 2007 tahoe on passenger side and the housing is in good shape I only had the glass to break.

The new mirror glass simply "Sticks" or sometimes "Glues" into place. The trick is getting the old glass off without destroying the mechanism that it is stuck to. Carefully use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the gum/glue under the glass to get all the broken pieces of glass out. Be careful not to pry in such a way that the plastic frame that it sticks to gets pried forward because you will strip the gears that hold it in place.

My son was trying to re-attach his rearview mirror to the windshield of his f150 pickup using Loctite rear view mirror adhesive. When re-installing the mounting piece, he mistakingly glued it on backwards....

My experience with that would be to use a hot air gun or a hair dryer (would take a little longer) to heat up the mounting piece, then carefully use a razor blade between windshield and glass to remove the adhesive. Be Extremely Careful. Razor Blade will get Hot and Brittle.

Is there a way to glue or bond or somehow repair broken plastic on a side mirror on a 2005 RAV-4?

Yes there is is you have a broken glass you can go to a local mirror shop and they can cut you a new one for about 10 bucks, then you can supergule it onto the inside fixture where the glass rests and hold it for about 4 minutes in place. Or use masking tape to hold it in postion. There are some plastics that super glue wont stick to so you may have to try 5 minute epoxy to hold it in place mix enought so that the epoxy will surrround baracket that holds the mirror.
