there are over 50 causes
#1 (on the hit parade) is no tuneups for 10 years
and
endless ,near.....(eg. cracked valve spring...see?)
(i can drive it and noodle the 3 basics)
engine,spark and fuel. 1,2,3
or 1 to 10 tests find it.
guessing never. (if i dont have all week)
i check spark timing first. if way off cam belt slipped.
zero tuneups caused this.

My 2002 chevy tracker 120,000 miles. steering became tight in spots and got worse. I replaced the power steering pump. it made no difference. what can it be?

It could be the rack, bad tie rod ends, etc. Are you sure there is enough fluid in the system. If it's getting worse, you need to have a mechanic look at it. You don't want to lose steering when you are driving down the road.

I am expriencing the same problem on 2004 Grand Prix. Did you vere find a solution?

Since you have "check engine" light turn on, will need scanner the PCM to know what fault code is stored there; with this code number could send you additional details, Sound like a emissions problem.

Keep in touch.

91 geo tracker -automatic -gear change trouble at cold startup.

Well, there are a number of questions that come to mind from a routine maintenance perspective.
Seeing that it is a 1991, has the transmission ever been serviced. A complete oil change out and filter replacement should be done every 50K miles or so.

Let me know how many miles you have and if you plan on keeping the vehicle.

1986 Honda Accord Dx keeps dying out.

Have you checked you plug wires?? I would also check your idle speed that can cause the car to die. If it is carb. then it may need to get a choke replaced.
