It is either gas or spark...one or the other is not getting where it needs to go. To check spark...pull a plug and leave it connected to the boot. lay it on the engine cover and turn the motor over...you should see spark. if not, start there.

My 1992 Pontiac sunbird convertible wont start or turn over. It has a new alternator, and now I dont know what the problem is. Need some help/advice!


i would ck for power, battery good ?,head light work ?,,if so ck for broken wire at starter or starter could be bad ? if nothing at all battery dead or u have a problem with something draining the battery..something left on,,

could be the ignition module or possibly the ECU. check the distributor and timing " make sure timing is on if u have changed the belt."

Come on Bro! give me a shot at sorting your problem, I'll hazard a guess it will not turn/crank??
Check your security! i.e. immobiliser or if cranking then cambelt break?

Reset timing car still wont start


Hi jipper 1984 check to see if the #1 piston is at top dead center on the compression stoke, then double check the timing marks also make sure you have spark and good fuel supply this is typically where you need to start,hope this helps,good luck
