Question about 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Club Cab
Have the same truck. Blown motor from to much water we replaced the motor and had same issue with loss of oil pressure on the dash gauge called the motor company and they stated if the gasket on the plentum on the lower intake leaks you will also lose pressure. Will keep posted will do all steps and let yous know if it works

The Oil Pick-up tube screen is dirty/clogged. Drop the oil pan and clean the pick-up tube and any solids in oil pan.

Have your mechanic check the oil pressure with a pressure guage. A oil pressure sensor is the most possible cause, but please make sure of proper oil pressure to avoid engine damage.

you need to put an oil pressure gauge on it and see what happens.what you will find is that the sender unit is no good.
