Pontiac aztek diy repairs

Yes. You would need a slotted socket that you can buy from AutoZone or Advanced Auto. They are pretty much standard sized. The trick is where it's located.

Service engine light is on. The diagnostic test said it was the O2 sensor. The mechanic said I don't need it in alabama and he doesn't recommend changing one of them when it may make it worse. What do you...

Hi Joyce.... Your service engine light now light will continue to be on if you do not replace that sensor. The problem you are having is so common with older vehicles. These sensors just continue to go bad.

It is up to you. If you want that light off replace the sensor. If you do not replace the sensor you could go to an autoelectric repair shop and they could change your wiring to keep that light from going on.

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

2001 aztek misfire ad stalls when gas is given

before you spend anymore have it hooked up to a real time engine analyser like a bdm pro, or a snapon scanner, take it for a drive and snapshoot scanner when the problem arises, could be a sensor like tps or an actuator, but will not register a code, just a flag

2001 pontiac when it shift it jumps and recently engine light on?

Transmission pressure control sensor. $30.00 part. Common problem with Azteks. You have to remove side transmission cover to access. Would advise taking to dealer.Cost for me with a tranny fluid and filter change & and sensor replaced was $232.00 ...not too bad for a dealer doing the work. (lol)
