Why does my mercedes c180 '98' only blow air through air vents when i drive the fan does not work? How do I locate problem?

Check the blower circuit breaker, the blower control fuse, the blower relay, and the blower itself. If the blower does not work on any speed, you will likely find that the control fuse has blown.

C180 ac

You may need a mechanic for this.
In most cases the radiator fan is not pulling enough air thru the condenser when you are not moving. Either the fan is not running or there is a blockage.

C180 air con not blowing cold air, all else seems to be working, fan, no warning lights etc.

Ensure the compressor engages when the AC is turned "ON" Open the hood, start engine with AC OFF" stay at the engine, and have some one else to turn AC "ON" full cvold you should here a clicking sound and the RPM of the engine may drop slightly, if not the AC is not working, could be a fuse .

try the main fan. Then check strip fuse for the Aux fans. Then check A/C charge or the sensor that checks it because that turns on the low speed on the Aux fan. Then check the Engine temp sensor as that controls the high speed Aux fan control.
Also a stuck open thermostat will cause overheat.
